Do you replace an internal HR team?

In some cases, Graphite operates as the HR function. In others, Graphite works alongside internal leaders who need more structure, execution support, or additional capacity. The service is designed to flex based on what the organization needs.

What are the different HR engagement levels?

Graphite HR is delivered through Advisory, Core, and Plus models. Advisory is more guidance-focused. Core adds more operational execution. Plus extends into deeper strategic and higher-touch HR support.

What happens during HR onboarding?

HR onboarding includes reviewing the company’s current HR posture, handbook, policies, documentation, and employee processes. From there, Graphite identifies what needs to be tightened, updated, or built so the ongoing HR function can run more cleanly.

How does Graphite HR work with Graphite Payroll?

HR and Payroll often work closely together. HR supports employee-side processes and documentation, while Payroll handles payroll execution. When both services are in place, Graphite coordinates that work internally.

What is out of scope?

Recruiting, interviewing, immigration matters, specialized legal services, benefits brokerage, and certain higher-complexity regulatory or board-level HR work sit outside standard scope unless separately agreed.
