Secure Document Sharing
How Graphite uses SafeSend to keep sensitive client documents secure, organized, and easy to share.
Graphite takes a thoughtful approach to data security, which is why we use SafeSend for document sharing. It offers a secure, organized way to exchange sensitive files while keeping information encrypted and protected in one place.
How and Why Graphite Uses SafeSend
Graphite uses SafeSend to handle everything from document requests and e-signatures to financial reports. Graphite chose SafeSend because it’s built specifically for the security levels that companies need. Instead of having to remember yet another password, SafeSend uses secure links and multi-factor authentication to verify identity. SafeSend’s biggest security feature is actually its lack of passwords. This keeps sensitive info out of messy email threads and gives Graphite a clear audit trail, keeping the client’s back office secure and streamlined.
A Few Tips for Secure Document Sharing
To keep data safe and our workflows moving, keep these tips in mind when sending files to Graphite:
- Avoid standard email for sensitive files. It’s not encrypted and can be easily intercepted. Use the SafeSend link instead.
- Skip sensitive info in file names. Avoid using things like full Social Security numbers or bank account numbers in the title. Stick to simple names like March_Bank_Statement.
- Don’t share passwords in the same thread. If a file is password-protected, it’s best to send the password through a separate channel like a quick phone call.
- Stay off public Wi-Fi. When uploading or downloading important company documents, use a secure, private network.
Using SafeSend helps keep clients’ information protected while Graphite focuses on helping companies scale. Reach out to the Graphite Customer Success Specialist with questions about any suspicious looking links.
